After graduating from the University of New Brunswick - Fredericton in 1993 with a Business Administration degree, Trevor spent two years seeking his fortune and fame in Ontario. Longing for the Maritimes’ more relaxed pace, he moved back in 1995. In 1997, he settled down (both with a wife and a career) in Halifax, where he began working in financial services.

For the next nine years Trevor held various roles with Freedom 55 Financial, from financial security advisor and director, business and market development to business owner specialist and new advisor development manager. In 2006, he found renewed passion for helping clients and co-founded Stephenson Daigle Financial. Trevor has built a successful practice based on the philosophy of a lifelong relationship with his clients. His passion may be the relationship, but his expertise is tax reduction strategies, effective/efficient portfolio diversification and risk management for key executives, incorporated professionals and business owners. Although his mandate is to continue building his business, Trevor realizes growth must remain manageable and cannot compromise or erode existing client relationships.

Away from the office, Trevor enjoys spending time with his young family at home, at the cottage or on the ski hill. Away from his family, he enjoys golfing with friends, hot tubs, an occasional cigar and port with chocolate.

Krista Zinck, AIAA, PCS

A financial security advisor with Freedom 55 Financial, a division of London Life, Krista Zinck has also served clients through Stephenson Daigle Financial since 2006. Her financial services career began with Prudential of America in 1990. She has also been a marketing associate with London Life and Freedom 55 Financial.

Krista’s accuracy to detail, grace under pressure and sense of humor make her popular with clients in our practice. She is capably supported by teams of administrative and underwriting specialists and quarterbacks all administrative issues.

Krista is licensed for life and health insurance and has earned her Associate, Insurance Agency Administration designation, and her Professional, Customer Service designation through LOMA. Krista is responsible for day-to-day administrative service requests and keeping Laurie and Trevor organized.

Krista grew up in the St. Margaret’s Bay area and has lived in Timberlea with her family for the past 13 years. She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with friends. Krista is a dedicated sports mom, who can be found at ball diamonds and hockey rinks, depending on the season.

Gary MacNeil

Financial Security Advisor

Gary MacNeil has worked in the insurance industry since the 2004. He is a Financial Security Advisor with Freedom 55 Financial and begin working with the team at Stephenson Daigle Financial in 2011. Gary’s loves to build new relationships and help clients clearly define goals, which has helped him build a solid practice based on a referral network.

Throughout his career in the financial services industry, Gary has grown in terms of both his knowledge and his expertise. Whether it’s helping young families get into their first home, start RESP’s for children, retirement planning or finding ways for business owners to save money on employee benefits as well as reduce taxes payable on their corporate earnings, Gary is able to help every step of the way. Gary is also equipped to help clients who are close to retirement or already retired preserve their wealth for future use or to pass on to the next generation tax efficiently.

In his free time Gary plays soccer, softball, golf and enjoys sailing in the summer. In the winter months he spends his time skiing and snowboarding or enjoying a few games of squash or hockey just to keep the legs moving.

Matthew Woo, MBA

Financial Security Advisor

Matthew Woo is a financial security advisor with Freedom 55 Financial and the newest member of the Stephenson Daigle team.

Growing up in a home with two entrepreneurial parents, Matthew learned at a very young age the value of hard work and building a financially-sound future.  After attending the University of Western Ontario, Matthew returned to Halifax to complete his Masters in Business Administration at Dalhousie University. His first few years after graduation were spent in private lending, with a focus on leveraged financing and mortgages. This experience has provided an extensive knowledge of personal credit, debt instruments and leveraging techniques.

As an active community member, Matthew enjoys being a member of various team sports, he participates in basketball and softball, as well as taking time to play golf and tennis as time permits.  Music is also a passion of Matthew's as he has been involved in piano, violin and guitar from a very young age.

In 2005, Matthew combined his desire to help others with his financial education and experience, and joined Freedom 55 Financial as a financial security advisor and has focused his planning practice on skilled professionals, business shareholders and their families. Matthew has developed a business with the core principals of personalized service that is honest, knowledgeable and professional.  He advises clients as he would his own family and takes pride in being a valuable resource in helping his clients make their financial goals a reality. Matthew shares his time between Nova Scotia and Ontario.
